The visual theme as seen on the comic book covers elsewhere on this site was also used in various advertisements for
everything from motion pictures to grooming products to carpeting. The ads seemed to say -- "hey, guys, use this hair tonic
or toothpaste or shaving cream, and the gals will all want to pursue you and cover you with kisses!" Some ads seemed geared to
the ladies: "Gals, you'll be so happy with this carpeting or what-have-you that you'll want to kiss the salesman!"
