Archie has survived for over sixty years and counting. He is still torn between two competing girlfriends, the blonde
Betty and the dark-haired Veronica. This competition has long since been won, however, as on numerous occasions it has been
established that Archie likes and will go out with Betty, but is actually totally smitten with Veronica. Dopey Archie
can't see that Betty feels about him the way he feels about the wealthy, haughty “Ronnie,”who treats Archie as
a possession even as she flirts with and dates other men. At the same time, Ronnie can be just as jealous of Betty as the
latter can be of her. And both women love to torment their rival by sending Archie over to them wearing plenty of their lipstick.
